Initial Configuration
The bluetooth pairing must be done with Bluetooth Tether Bridge started on your BlackBerry to allow the PC to learn that your BlackBerry supports bluetooth DUN service. If your BlackBerry and PC have already been paired, remove the pairing on both devices.



5. Select Options
Move the cursor to the lower part of the page and press the BlackBerry MENU key to bring up the menu. Select Options to bring up the Bluetooth Options page as shown below

6. Disable the Dial-Up Networking option
Make sure the Dial-Up Networking option is NOT checked

1. Start Bluetooth Tether Bridge on your BlackBerry and wait for the Internet connection indication to turn on (the phone and the globe are joined by an edge)

2. Press the BlackBerry MENU key to bring up the command menu and select the Start - DUN command

3. Check the display to confirm bluetooth DUN service has been started and it is ready for a client connection

4. On your PC, click on the bluetooth icon in the status bar and select Bluetooth Settings unless you already have the Bluetooth Settings window up on your screen.
5. Now double click on your BlackBerry device (BTtest9800 in our case).
6. On the Dial-up Connection window, click Connect.

2. Press the BlackBerry MENU key to bring up the command menu and select the Start - DUN command

3. Check the display to confirm bluetooth DUN service has been started and it is ready for a client connection

4. Press the BlackBerry ESCAPE key (NOT the Close command) to leave Bluetooth Tether Bridge to run in the background. Go to Manage Connections on the BlackBerry and select Bluetooth Connections.
7. Back to the Bluetooth page, click Add New Device to start the process of pairing

8. Select Listen to allow your PC to be able to find your BlackBerry.

9. Your BlackBerry will now show it is waiting for a connection:

10. On your PC, click the bluetooth icon and then select Add New Connection.
11. It will search for bluetooth devices. Select your BlackBerry device (BTTest9800 in our case) and click Next.
12. On your BlackBerry, click Yes to accept the pairing attempt from your PC.
13. Check Yes on your PC to complete pairing.
14. Your PC will automatically attempt to connect to your BlackBerry and the following will appear on your BlackBerry. Check "Don't display this prompt again" to avoid doing this for every tether session and click Yes to accept the request.
8. Bluetooth Tether Bridge will now show your client device is connected.
16. The Advanced Modem Setting window will appear on your PC. Click Next.
15. Now go back to Bluetooth Tether Bridge app. You will find the automatic connection attempt from your PC has failed. This is of no cause for alarm because your PC side has not been configured yet. Press Exit to exit from the app.

17. The Create dial-up connection window will now appear. Enter "*99#" without the quotes for Telephone number and leave User name and Password empty. Click Finish to complete the configuration.










7. The final dial window will appear. Simply click Dial to complete the connection process with User name and Password left empty.
