Your Internet data goes directly to the intended destination. With a server based tether solution, however, all your Internet data goes through, and is forwarded by, a 3rd-party tether server. Such a 3rd-party tether server introduces Internet security risks as it is vulnerable to security attacks from the Internet and possibly by rogue employees if any. Cost-Effectively : For a small one-time software license fee, you can get Internet to your PC by sharing your Blackberry data plan for the lifetime of your Blackberry. TetherBridge has a bona-fide one-time fee business model as explained on the Tether Primer page.
Simply : Both the installation and the operation of TetherBridge are very simple.
